Problem with Media Center

I Have a Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 with Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor, 3 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive Vista Home Premium 32bit w/ SP1. It also has HDMI out. When I try to play video or audio files on Media Center through the TV via HDMI, the video and audio is very laggy. It also sounds sort of static like. When I play CD's or DVD's the problem is resolved. Also, when I unplug the HDMI, the problem is resolved. Also, when I minimize Media Center, the problem is resolved. It only happens when the HDMI is plugged in and Media Center is Maximized. I have searched all over and have not been able to find a solution to this problem. I have tried changing the HDMI cords and changing the HDMI input on the TV. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
I've also tried to use a different TV and no luck.

What is your graphics card? If you have an integrated Intel Chip then that is the reason why. it cannot generate high Pixel size images through HDMI for a TV. That could be your problem.

I do have integrated intel graphics. I am ordering a Winodws 7 Upgrade. Do you think once i upgrade the problem will be fixed? Also, if it's my graphics card, why does it work fine when I play a DVD?

If you play an MP3 for instance it has to decode it, make the visualization, and then transfer over the HDMI output. DVD should be alot easier on the system in general. Have you tried updating your graphics card drivers?

I have updated the graphics and they are and have been up to date. Is there any way to fix this or am I just going to have to use Windows Media Player? Do you think the Windows 7 Upgrade will resolve the issue?
