LAG sending mail thru Windows Live Mail

i have been using LiveMail for about a year now.

It was the only mail program comparable to Outlook which is what i was using previously that vista worked with so i stuck with it.

however it has always lagged on outgoing mail. there is no rhyme or reason as to when it will lag upon sending an email or whether it will go straight thru.

the problem is, that while it is lagging on the outgoing mail (sometimes up to 45seconds) i can not access my mailbox without crashing windows live.

i am using vista home premium, 64 bit, service pack 1.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably due to the slow server of your email provider (yahoo, msn, google etc). WLM is having a problem connecting. You can try switching to another email service and see if that helps.
