microsoft works 9.0

Works seems to be free in Vista Home Premium and even in Windows 7
However I am trying to help out a fellow senior and she gets spreadsheet documents created in Works format. I looked at her list of programs and there
is no microsoft works or other folder.
is there a link where one could download the free program?
there are many links in a search but all seem to push buying it.
I have it in windows 7 but there is no way of course to move it to her Vista
laptop.
Any thoughts on how I can help her?
Larry.
