Problem with 64 bit vista

I am currently using a 64 bit vista home premium computer and I have a 32 bit router. I have a desktop and three other laptops that are connecting to the router perfectly, the fourth however isn't. It's a 32 bit router, so the fourth laptop which is my 64 bit vista won't connect or even pick up the wireless ping from the router. Is there a way to convert from a 64 bit to a 32 bit other then going out and buying a 32 bit computer? If there is a way please reply. I'll take any suggestions I can get. Thank you.

Yes you can buy a 32 bit Vista or Windows 7 DVD and install the OS. There are no 32 bit or 64 bit computers, its the OS platforms. Cost about $125.00 US.

But first I would call MS and tell them the situation. They will may send a DVD for cost or a bit more, for the OS that you have in 32 bit.

If they claim that you have an OEM version, you may have the call your compter MFG., they may be able to help

I have a couple of questions.

What is the name and model of your router? What does ipconfig /all say? When you place your mouse over the network icon on the taskbar, what does it say?

I have a Netgear WGT624 4 port router with 2 of the ports in use, one is Dell desktop with Vista Home Premium 64 bit, the other is a clone with XP pro hard wired. I have two wireless laptops connected to it, one running Vista Home Premium 32 bit and a Dell laptop running XP Pro and have no problems what so ever with any of them. I have added via wireless, several other laptops running Vista Home Premium at the same time with no problems, sometimes as many as 7 connected at the same time via wireless. I don't think 64 bit OS is the problem, I would look at the wireless card in the pc before I went out and bought a new OS.

Is the wireless turned on on the laptop?
