DVD ripper for Vista & XP?

I need to purchase a DVD ripper that is compatible with both Vista and XP. The ripper is needed for a video editing software made specially for analysis of sports. The software is stored on a 500G external hard drive. My home computer runs Vista and my work computer that runs XP. Any suggestions on a DVD ripper that will work with both? I am not the most computer literate person either...

Works like a charm every time, made even easier to rip DVD's if you have two DVD burners
