When I burn a recorded TV show to a DVD using Media Center, it works once and then while burning another program to another DVD, I get the error "BURN FAILURE, An error has occurred in burning the CD/DVD." Sometimes it works to re-boot, other times it doesn't. I am trying to avoid re-installing the system. Thanks.

I get the error 90% of the time. Never had it before, but didn't anything I had done, added or updated that affected the results. I'll give the program you suggested a try.

you could try a system file check to see if anything is wrong. Burning disc's can be tricky as some disc work some don't

Unfortunately for me none of the suggestions had any impact. I will reinstall, which is a pain, but works. Thanks.

The thought came to me,if it works again after a reboot is some other program not releasing the memory and restarting forces it to.
