    Spooler error

I cannot start my print spoolers, I have tried everything. The last error I got was Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.

    What can I do?

    Welcome
The first thing that should be tried is a system restore from before the problem.

    If that does not work:
Here is a solution which involves a registry adjustment. Be warned registry changes, if done improperly can cause computer problems. Consult a competent friend, who may have registry proficiency, and back up registry and make a system restore point first.

    Re: Spooler error

    Renee,
I salute your decision. Many would try to change the registry without the proper knowledge. Registry is the brains of the computer and any change takes place immediately. You do not have to boot to make a change. Even though the changes that are suggested in the information that I presented is very easy, mistakes can happen when least expected. After you computer is fixed, come back to the forum. We will be very happy to show you the techniques for proprer maintenance or any thing else that may interest you.

    Re: Spooler error

I would try the system restore though. That may work, its easy and relatively safe.

That's the thing, this is the first time that I have tried to install a printer. I got the computer from a friend, and I don't know how long the problem has existed.

    Re: Spooler error

Its such a shame, it seems like such an easy change to make. It would take about 5 minutes.
error 1075 printer spooler is not running
and it looks like it would work.
That being said, if you feel uncomfortable with the registry, it might be best to leave it alone. There is no need to bring it to a shop. A friend, a neighbor, a school kid, would be glad to make the adjustment for you.
But always back up the registry and make a system restore point first.

    Re: Spooler error

    Okay Rich,

I created a restore point and went into the registry and deleted the spooler. Bad move. Restored the system and went into the registry again and I see that the depend on service says this:

    (Type)REG_MULTI_SZ (Data) LexBceS RPCS http

Is this what I have to change?
