Sgn in assistant

Hi,
Hoping for some help. I have two Windows Live/Hotmail accounts. This morning and every other morning I could switch between both by simply logging out. Presumably this was the sign in assistant remembering my details. However, internet explorer crashed on me at lunchtime, and ever since then I'm no longer able to swap between accounts in the same way. Hotmail is prompting me for email addresses and passwords each time. I've unistalled/reinstalled the sign in assistant, but it hasn't rectified the peoblem. Any ideas?

I'm running Windows Vista on my laptop

Welcocme
Log out of both.
Then download and use ccleaner. Dont tick any registry items. Check all cookie items and temporary systme files and any others that you care to clear. You will lose all cookies, but then all you have to do is sign in to all your accounts once and then you will be back

After Ccleaner
Log into both separately. Do not sign into one and then just flip over. Get out and go to the other account.

Use Ccleaner once a week to keep the computer running quickly.

As a test, try with another browser, Firefox, Chrome, etc.

Some setting in your computer has changed, I do not know what.
This is usullay just a cookie problem.
I dont want to do something big like a system restore over something so minor.
Ill think on it and get back if I have an idea. In the meantime others that think that they may have something to offer will contribute.

Wait, just had another thought test in another user account, see if that works.

Not just you.
My hotmail accounts also ask for user ID and passwords every time.

If you want, you can logon to Windows Live Solution Center, Hotmail Threads forum :
Hotmail Threads

In case you are not aware of, Windows Live Solution Center is supposed to handle all Winows Live related issues.
Here is the main portal :

I have exactly same problem with Sign in helper which started two or three days ago.

Windows Live Soultion Center is absolutely a waste of time.

Apparently windows sign in assistant is incorporated in Windows live Essentials 2011.
So, I downloaded it but still the sign in helper box does not pop out, hence it does not work. I now still have to log in each time and cannot just switch between my three accounts.

What's going on? This happened out of the blue about two weeks ago. Somebody said he gets it working in one PC but not in another? Is this a PC's problem?

It is done by Windows Live Hotmail. They decided to improve the logon security.
What you see now is the way it is supposed to be.

What a backward step MSN just did. What is wrong with its programmers?

Yahoo mail still maintains its equivalent of Sign in assitant. Why can't MSN Hotmail?

In other words, we are now back to several years ago before there was sign in assistant? How did this come about? Who was/were responsible for this backward programming?

MSN programmers should take some training with Yahoo programmers. They are simply much much better. Just compare MSN Live mail with Yahoo mail.
