Whenever I copy from a pdf to my word 2007 document I get a dotted box around my pasted material.

I have a picture of it - any ideas what this is? it will be a settings thing but have tried without success to remove it.

thanks

Thanks but am not looking for a workaround - i wish to know what settings i need to change - i know its the pdf program because this only started doing this after an update - its nothing to do with IE9.

I am pretty sure it is just there to remind you that it was Copy and pasted from another program. I see it alot on Publisher, your best bet is to look on Print Preview and see if it is still there.

I know it is and it doesnt show in print preview as it doesnt show when transferred to pdf. The problem is however that it interferes with the cutting and pasting as I have to muck around with it to get it placed right and it expands the box thats already there shifting my template around.

Ahh I know what you mean :S I only have 2010 on my computer sadly and on that it has an option to paste "Text Only" which stops it having a box around it I will continue to look into this and try to find out for you :S
