windows recovery error

    windows recovery error

    hi
    i have an acer aspire T180-UB7Z
    i have tried to boot up my computer and have got the windows recovery error. i have tried pressing F8 and all of those options. my disc drive does not work so cannot insert the disc that it asks for. i have tried putting the disc contents onto a pen drive and booting it from there and it has not worked. please could someone help me with this as i do not know what else to do if anyone knows a way to fix this problem please help.

    Start your computer from a Windows 7 installation disc or USB flash drive

    How much does it cost for a new drive should be the first question.
    A USB Drive does not cost that much so why dont you use one of them?
    This will save you alot of time trying to boot of a pen drive.
