It seems the thread is unanswered.
This is s*ck me up since 4 days by looking the software for reinstallation of the corrupted Windows Vista Home Premium built in into my notebook.
I have DVD software but it came from other manufacturer namely DELL. I am trying to figure it out how to install using my product key which is i still have it, because the DELL DVD indicate it can only use for reinstallation on DELL product and mine is Samsung. When i try to use an ImgBUrn software for getting the ISO the result is L-EC Uncorrectable Error! In my simple conclusion, I need drivers from DELL to download into my computer that way the optical drive might works on to read the DELL DVD i don know know. Perhaps you Guys there is have my answer for what a wasted time i am doing. I just want my software back.
and hijacking this thread helps how?
If you have driver issues you should be posting here:

if you want free DVD burning and copying softwarfe, go to videohelp as I suggested. I son't see how we are supposed to be clairvoyant as to your time usage wasted or otherwise. You're just wasting more of it by jijacking this thread with a hostile post. We are not your employees here. If you want help ask, don't bitch.
Spinne- You can copy unprotected DVD's with Nero. I didn't look but I think you might be able to do it from within Vista.
You can try Alcohol 120% to create Disc images, burning image to Disc. also you can use Disc image the folder it self i.e. you can mount the Disc and use it without even burning it to Disc. Moreover, the software is very lite and easy to operate.

For standard DVD I find this works well:
DVD ISO Master
It's a good idea to put the output ISO through DVD Shrink
to catch some things Master misses. Just set DVD Shrink to DVD9 if you don't want to compress anything. Also it's a good idea because you can use the ReAuthor Mode of Shrink to just save the main movie instead of 20 phantom titles.
Dell disks are designed for Dell computers; they contain drivers and registry settings specific to Dell and more than likely it will refuse to run in a non dell computer. Even if it did install your system would be unstable. Also if you read Microsoft's user agreement it will say that the disk can only be used in the computer it came with. That's because they don't charge the vendor much (if anything) for the disk which saves you money. If you don't have a disk (or recovery partition) for your computer unless the manufacturer will sell you a disk for a small fee that uses your product key the only thing that you can do is get a commercial license for Windows 7 or go with Linux.
Now for the original poster are you wanting to copy a copy-righted DVD such as a movie? If so more than likely it has encryption on it.
