Hello, I just got a brand new Dell XPS 420, it has Windows Vista Home Premium in it. I was having trouble with the sound card ( ADS Instant HDTV PCI audio) but after I took Norton out I was able to hear. Now the problem is I can not talk in Sound recorder or any other program. The one I use the most is Flight Simulator (online flying with Squakbox) and team Speak. When I start team speak or sound recorder etc I get a message saying "TDSoundin.Open: No sound driver is avalible for use" what do I do to fix this problem? Please, I really need help, it took along time to get up enough for this computer ($966 USD) its my second in 8 years.

What did Dell say to do?

Dell ususlly have their own set-up discs or special configuration software.

It would be good to know exactly what you have done to resolve this yourself so we don;t end up sugegsting things you have done before.

Well, everything, but I just got done talking to Dell and they told me to take it to Best Buy and Have the Geek Squad fix it, it will be free since I just got it and I have a 1 year warrany.
