codec problem

here is the error i get with codec 64-bit

What were you installing exactly...and what problem were you trying to resolve.... or did you just want the codec pack "just in case"

i was trying to install

both

1st
Vista 32bit MediaPlayer & MediaCenter Codecs: (everyone needs this version)
|MG| Vista Codec Package 4.6.5 Final

this one just hung tring to configure space reguirements


then this

Vista 64bit MediaPlayer & MediaCenter Codecs: (64bit users only)
|MG| Vista Codec x64 Components 1.4.5 Final

this is where that error appeared

Hi Njnitehawk,

Both programs have been updated this week, the two versions you have are both old versions...I updated the topic a few days ago with the new releases... Vista Codec Pack - 32bit & 64bit Media Player Codecs

Here are the direct links
Vista Codec Package 4.6.6 Final
Vista Codec x64 Components 1.4.7 Final

Make sure you right-click and select "run as admin" and completely uninstall both versions before installing the new ones.

Yes - Install the 32bit version 4.66 first, followed by the 64bit pack version 1.4.7.
