Playback problem

Hey everyone

My problem is that everytime I watch some video file, no matter what player I use, I will get a wave of distortion in across the middle of the display. You know its like in video games, except you can take care of that problem by enabling V-Sync.

Is there a way to enable something similar to the media players? Cause its getting on my nerves now

Thanks in advance to any helpful response

Re: Playback problem

It seems that the problem old accures with .avi files and only if they are heavily compressed (HD like quality). But still, I cant see why my new computer shouldn't be able to run those without problems.

Have you OC`d anything or used any GPU/driver programs for changing the nvidia settings?

Yes I have OC'd the GPU, but its reset (haven't reinstalled drivers) and I use Rivatuner to increase the fan speed to 60% default (so its idle at 45 C instead of 65 C)

I suppose you want me to stop the fan change and reinstall the drivers to make sure Rivatuner didn't **** up the drivers?

Re: Playback problem

Do you mean you are getting tearing? What media player are you using and what codecs?
