!!!please help. No sound!!!

    !!!please help. No sound!!!

    Idk what's going on but i cant hear anything. The speaker icon at the bottom right has a red x on it. When i move the cursor over it, it says, "no audio output device installed." please help me!!

    Hello Dre,

    Here are some usual suspects that you can check until we get more information:

    1. Correct audio driver version is installed and shows up in Device Manager as running properly.
    2. Speakers are plugged in all the way.
    3. If you have a onboard audio chip, then make sure that it is enabled in the BIOS. (Azalia Codec)
    4. Volume level is not muted.
