New X-Fi Driver

Download it nao!

I tested it myself and it's very good in my opinion, some fixes are noticable and works well in Vista.

Re: New X-Fi Driver

I find it to be the best Vista driver they have made yet. A few suggestions.

  1. Use Driver Sweeper 1.5.5 to clear out any creative gunk after uninstalling.
  2. I paired mine with the beta console Launcher and newest Alchemy, it has in my opinion made it all the better. (Alchemy is for emulating older games sounds and the launcher is not really required.)
  3. Turn down your speakers. After my install my computer audio was a lot louder than before, I have checked settings all over and nothing has been changed. Be wary, you may hurt your ear drums after installing the drivers and putting on some music.
  4. Enjoy.

Re: New X-Fi Driver

I installed these drivers today and set them for 5.1 speakers.
However when I reboot my setting default to 2.1 and I have to set them to 5.1 again.

In XP I had the synchronize with control panel option, but I can't find it in these.
How can I solve this problem?

Thanks!
