No sound at all

I have just upgrade from Windows XP to Vista Ultimate (but I reformatted my HDD for a fresh install of Vista) and I am unable to get ANY sound at all from my computer. It says that my stereo (on board system) is not plugged in, and it only recognizes my mic (even when its not plugged in...). My mic had sound for about 2min before that stopped working as well. I have installed all the device drivers for the stereo system from the motherboard CD but nothing has happened. Please help...i need music =(

Re: No sound at all

Hi Estari and welcome to the forums

It looks as though you haven't installed the correct audio drivers. The ones on the CD were probably for XP and will therefore not work with Vista. What is the make and model of your motherboard? Without this information, we cannot help you.
