Vista - Problems with wav

None of the suggestions for wav work for me. I have paid hundreds of $$ to be able to listen online to people responding to an ad I have placed, but I can't hear them. I never resorted to a forum with XP nor did I ever consider a MAC, but now I am unless I can begin to access/open pictures, files, sound etc that I have saved to my computer. This is only the last of many problems with Vista.

I can see how basic failures can cause frustration the first thing I would suggest is to download and install the Vista Codec Package Here.

That should allow you to play your files if thay are encoded in a non standard way. if you have no luck with this post back with the actual error message you recieve and someone will, i'm sure, be able to help.

Nigel, nice of you to reply. I have never heard of codec and when I go to the site you reccommended and then scroll down to vista section and click there the download looks like a program to clean my computer, the rest on the page is Greek to me. I appreciate your suggestions, but I cannot download something to my computer that I know nothing about or where it comes from. Seems too risky to me. The other problem I have is that I cannot sync my new centro phone to vista. Really the only thing I can do with my new laptop is surf the web and send email and that took several months to get the kinks worked out with my server and everytime thay have an update, I have, more problems. In the past I have bought a computer with all the programs loaded (Word, excell, scan program for my printer etc etc etc), they all have to be purchased separately. I really thought it would just take time to get it figured out, but it has been over a year. Sorry to be such a complainer.
