Vista - Can't Play CD's

I have Windows Vista Ultimate and it will not let me play a CD for more than half a minute. I get the following message... this is my second post and hopefully the message (.jpg) is visible.

Hi Harold,

This is a media player thing, try using a different player ie Winamp

Thanks Pooch. I downloaded it as you suggested and now all i get is the first few words of the first song and it repeats itself over and over. Back to the drawing board for me.

Ok, then it can not be to many things,

Is the cd clean? yes, no.
Do you have another drive to try? does it now work?
Have you have burnt the cd yourself? Check the cables on the Writer Then try burning it again at a slower speed.
Still doesn't work change the RW cd's
Or your drive may be defect.

I've tried everything Pooch. Thanks for trying to help but i am going back to WinXP

Thanks for the help Pooch but as a gamer I am fed up with reinventing the wheel. I am putting WinXP on this computer of mine within the next couple of days. Got too many other things to do beside trying to make something work in Vista.
