If possible try another microphone, If you are saying that the update has done this then go to device manager click on your sound device to open it, right click on the opened up device and select properties, and click on the tab, driver you should now have the option to roll back the driver to the previous version. If this does not work, or you were not saying the above then try a system restore; System Restore - How to You need to pick a date before this problem started. I hope this helps Pooch |

| Vista Ultimatex64 Windows 7 build 7100 | Re: Microphone Problems Then try this, I dont know your card so I am guessing a bit, and my description might be a bit out ![]() Right click on the speaker symbol in the notification area, you are looking for an option like playback devices click on this to open up the sound window, see attached picture. You need to ensure that either the speaker symbol or you may have something like internal speakers is set to Default "Green Tick" To do this, highlight the option say speaker and select Set Default. The same applies to microphone under the recording tab I hope this makes enough sense that you can understand it and I also hope that it helps.Pooch |
