Vista - No Sound though Vista says "OK"

Conrad Vista Home Premium 32bit 4 posts	No Sound though Vista says "OK" Out of the blue my headphones stopped working (they work elsewhere). No sound at all. Vista tells me the audio device is working fine. Checked driver and get message that best already installed. Any thoughts? Conrad.
