| XP Professional, Vista Ultimate x64 | [SOLVED]No sound I'm running Vista 64 Bit. My Mainboard is ASUS PLD2 SE.. When i had XP on my computer everything was working fine. I did an overlay of Vista and now any audio device with a jack won't work.. My USB headphones do... I have gone through all the playback settings, searched through all of control panel to do with sound. I have downloaded the necessary realtek drivers (High Definition Audio Device) and nothing. I have also tried plugging the jack in the front instead of the back. The speakers work on any XP machine... just having troubles with my vista machine. | XP Professional, Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: No sound I forgot to mention that i had the playback settings up while i was plugging in the jack. It did not recognize anything. Nothing new came up. The only things that show up are my USB headphones, no other little icons apart from my logitech headphones. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: No sound Alright, try this. Step one, go to ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- Step two, search Vista 64bit. Step three, go to Audio. Step four, choose the top option. Step five, download it and install that driver. Step six, restart. Step seven, enjoy. Good riddance. :] |

If you want to, it's the scale/balance in the top right hand corner of each forum message. Thank you. ![]() Good riddance. [And yes, I am a "dudette" as my fiance so stated.] |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: No sound Well, that's not really much to go on. And if you downloaded what I gave Onslaught, that was for his specific motherboard. If you don't have the same motherboard, it won't work. Hmm, try going to: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwar...-1/sp37335.exe Download and install it. This is for *your* specific computer. It should work. If not, let me know. |
