stand alone app to create MP3's

I have been looking for an app that will record streaming audio ( web radio stations ) like these News/Talk Radio Programs Streaming on the Internet
and this
Phil Hendrie Streaming on the Internet

I found a program today:
Wavosaur free audio editor with VST and ASIO support too complicated

I have been using messer Messer - Memo Session Sound Recorderfor years on my XP machine but it won't work on my vista.
My mic records all sound in the room even when I breathe/sniff

anyone?

thanks

Carmine

Hello Carmine,

I know it's not what you are looking for, but I guess you might like it. It's free internet radio player with ability to record the songs, even multiple station at the same time. You can give it a try....
Features | Radio? Sure!
I like portable applications mostly, this one has the portable version, too

Cheers...

Wow, frankly I didn't know such thread exist. Thank you so much.

You know, I have got over 350 portable applications and the truth is, I don't remember mostly what each application is for. Daily I use about 15 apps only. Sometime I find out, I have true treasure. Let me know if you are looking for something special.

Edit: portable Audiacityhttp://sourceforge.net/project/downl...use_mirror=dfn
