I have a Toshiba P25-S609 laptop.

Vista Ultimate 32bit Media Center
I've been using Media Center for over 4 months without any major problems. About 2 or 3 days ago, anytime I watched Live TV, the sound would cut out about every second. If I tried to record it, it would continue with the intermittent sound, and sometimes the screen would go to a solid color...either blue, green, red, or black. If I watched old recordings in Media Center, they would play and sound fine. Anytime I tested other sounds, they worked fine.
I defragmented my hard drive, Optimized Media Center, Reinstalled video drivers (which of course there are no proper ones from nvidia anymore), and even tried the Omega drivers for nvidia. When all of that failed, I used system restore to go back a few days before the last Windows Update...to no avail.
Can anyone help me because I am truly lost. I hope it's just something simple that I have overlooked.
