| Member | No Audio Output Device Installed I know this is a repetitive topic, but I can not seem to figure this one out. It is a HP Laptop DV9815nr. I do not know much about it as it is not mine, but the problem is the audio was cutting out and now there is nothing. The computer is not recognizing any type of audio device installed. Even in Device Manager, there is no option for Sound, game and controllers. I have tried downloading the driver and installing, but no luck there. No viruses and no other problems. Any ideas? Thanks. | Member | Re: No Audio Output Device Installed Went to make sure it was enabled, but didn't see where, but when it restarted it was back on. I updated the driver while it was there and there was an update. Any ideas why it would be random like that? |

| Member | Re: No Audio Output Device Installed It isn't under warranty anymore, and I totally agree with you. The warranty ran out maybe a week or two before the problem started. Seems like that is how it always happens. |

| Member | Re: No Audio Output Device Installed I wish it worked. I hadn't tried to play any kind of sound since it happened and now that I did it gives an error message saying something like Windows can not play this file because your sound card is in use by another program or it is not working properly. |
