streaming sound recrding.

Hi and salute to every one.
In my pc, I have 8 GB ram, Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R mobo and Vista ultimate 64 bit OS.some one will guide me that how can I record internet streaming sound (songs) in MP3 format? I have downloaded Fee MP3 recorder in which there is tab "Record From". when I press this tab I get only " Master Volume" instead of Streo Mix which I used to get in my previous pc with XP OS.When I press this Master volume , no sound coming from PC get recorded. Please help me in this . Thanks to every one in advance.

Re: streaming sound recrding.

It can be done.... Download Audacity (the proper version for your system) and set it up to record "what your hear". This will save it as a Wav file.

Audacity needs a plug-in to convert the wave file into an MP3.

You can even use Windows Recorder to record "what you hear".

I've done this before many times and as recently as yesterday to test out my new Auzentech sound card.

It worked before using the onboard realtek sound.

Re: streaming sound recrding.

I use Applian's Replay AV, that seems to work pretty well for recording streaming audio. I think you can download a trial version from Applian's website - why not give it a go?

Re: streaming sound recrding.

Hello guys!

Sorry for having troubles, thanks to Mr B. Gates ...he, he

He can be richer but cannot be smarter than the rest of humanity...

OK.

So here's the sweet "little secret!

1) Right click on "Sound" icon on your taskbar, or go to Control panel and click bigger "Sound" icon (the same thing)...

2) Choose "Recording" tab and click on it. It will open your recording devices that are WORKING now.

3) GO TO EMPTY SPACE BELOW, and RIGHT CLICK ON IT (important!)

4) In the little dialog box which you will open, choose "Show Disabled Devices" and left click on it (make them ENABLED)

5) Go to Control Panel>>>USER ACCOUNTS and click on it

6) Choose "Turn User Account Control (UAC) On or Off", click and open it

7) UN-CHECK (de-select) UAC option and click "OK"!

8) Go to "AUDIO TOOLBOX" at

Audio Recorder for Free - Free Audio Recorder Software for Windows: Download

adn download: Audio Recorder for Free~14.6 MB AudioRecorderForFree.exe

9) Unpack and install it. He should work now.

10) Record and Enjoy!

Good Luck.
