Vista - Crackling Sound - Audio

Thank you so much, I'll try the safe mode start-up again and if that don't work I'll contact HP

Did this do this from the start or just recently? If I read the HP site correctly its a conflict between the audio and a broadcom driver. before you send it back try to re-install that driver. Might work, might not but it cant hurt

It's been happening since I got it, even after I replaced it once

I uninstalled the driver in safe mode and rebooted. It got reinstalled automatically and now it works fine

I uninstalled the driver in safe mode and rebooted. It got reinstalled automatically and now it works fine
