Sound works, and sometimes it doesn't.

Hello,
I have been having this problem, which is that sometimes, my sound is working, and sometimes it is not. It usually starts working after my PC has been off for a long period of time (for example, when I wake up). Oh, and if this helps, my soundcard is a Realtek HD card.
Any help?

Hello sonicroxs,
It sounds like something is getting hot, do you have any temp monitoring software installed ?, i would look at a heat issue first.
Take a look and post your results, good luck.

Well I just woke up and strangely my sound isn't working. BTW, my GPU is at 67ºC, my Hard Drive is at 25ºC, and the core temperature is at 35ºC.

Try going to the Device Manager and un-installing the sound driver, reboot and re-install.

That's the problem. The driver only appears in the Device Manager when the sound is working. At the moment, it isn't working, so I can't reinstall.

Go to the makers site and install the latest sound driver, also, while you are there, install the latest chipset drivers too.
Do the chipset drivers first.
