Volume Mixer

Hey, I muted a program using the Volume Mixer(the speaker icon next to the time), but now I cant unmute it because it doesnt appear with my other applications even when its open.

I have tried restarting, I am just wondering if there is another way to unmute things like in control panel or if there is a way to make it appear with the other applications in the Volume Mixer.

It happened once for me with Firefox. I couldn't see it in the mixer. But the next time I started it (not sure if I had rebooted), I had several other programs closed. I just saw it there, normally, and I could unmute it.

Yes, the Volume icon should come back after a re-boot, but you can also bring it back this way:

Right click the Start button, select Properties, Notification Area, and in the Systems Icons list, check the "Volume" box. (You can also do this from the Task Bar and Start Menu in the Control Panel.)

No, Imperfect1, Ardaos is saying that the program is not appearing in the Volume Mixer. The volume icon hasn't disappeared. He can access the Volume Mixer.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought when he said "it" didn't appear any longer that he was referring to the Volume icon.

I think shy of reinstalling your audio drivers, there's not much chance of it coming back if you were unsuccessful on reboot :-(
