No Sound Card Selected (Possbily Process Related)

I went to open up MSN messenger and make a call to the recipent's computer and got the error message saying "My computer does not have a sound card or a sound card is not selected." This is most likely my fault. :o

Earlier today, I was canceling some processes in the Task Manger menu and I ended one titled "Realtek Audio" something. So I think I ended something I shouldn't have.

So any idea how to bring that process back or reselect the sound card? Like where would the menu be in the Control Panel? I've been looking around in there for about 20 minutes now and can't find much.

Any help would be great, thanks for reading guys. :D

Have you tried rebooting the PC, to see whether that brings the sound back?

Aye, I did try that, as well as just a logg of/on. I'd assume that would restart the process but apparently it did not.

I did a system recovery back a day which fixed it though. :D Thanks anyway.
