Streaming Audio / Video

Since yesterday I have been unable to use any streaming radio URL's.

System shows "Opening", displays "Done", I hear the stream for approx 30 seconds then it stops!

If I click the Start arrow, the sequence repeats. I haven't made any system changes and nothing in my firewall has been changed. I'm using Vista and Windows Explorer (although problem still happened in Google Chrome ... any thoughts?

have you tried deleting your cookies and temporary internet files? windows allocates a certain amount of space to the browser for downloaded internet files, i suspect this space has been filled, think of it like an overflowing bin in your front room, if you try to fill it too much, it will just end up all over the floor.

to delete the temporary files, just find the (internet)options within the tools dropdown menu on all browsers, there will be something saying cookies or temporary internet files in there and click remove/delete files.

One hour later and the problem has re-occurred ... I just tried BBC iPlyer and it worked for apprpx 70 seconds, then cut out as if buffering. I clicked 'stop', then 'play' and it worked again immediately for 2 minutes before stopping again. I ran the iplayer bandwidth check, and my status is ok.

Is something interefering with the stream? Most strange.

Help gratefully accepted!

Have you tried resetting your router/modem? that maybe the solution to your somewhat intermittent connection issues, do you find that pages load infrequently? (click refresh and sometimes it takes a while to load and other times its rapid).

A good reset sometimes is what it needs, other than that I have to say i'm out of ideas.
