I'm not sure if this will help (or perhaps at least explain), but I found this on the Sony web site: View Document 0 170586639.

Since it is new, I'd contact Sony for assistance at: Sony eSupport - Electronics - Contact Support. I'd give you a more specific site, but you didn't provide the full model number so I can't go any further. They should be more than happy to assist you especially since it is so new.

I hope this helps and, if necessary, that they can help you. I'd try to find out more myself, but again without the model number (and there seem to be hundreds), I can't locate your specific system to check it out and see if there are any instruction manuals or troubleshooting guides or helpful articles or anything. I'm sure they'll help you, but if you end up posting back here, please include the full model number in your post.

Good luck!

I'm glad I was able to help and that you are now up and running - it was my pleasure. Helping other people like you this way (among others) is one of my favorite pasttimes and knowing I've actually succeeded is very pleasant and rewarding.

Thanks for the feedback and letting us know how it turned out - it is appreciated. Given your reply, I am requesting the thread be marked as solved.

And welcome to Vista Forums! Now that you know where we are, bookmark the site and post anytime you have further questions or problems or if you just want to browse and learn (especially the Tutorial section offers some excellent advice on a wide variety of topics) or even if you want to try to help answer a question if you happen to see one where you know the answer and it hasn't already been posted. While it most likely won't be me the next time (though it might), there are many very skilled, experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly people here who, like me, volunteer their time to help others and one or maybe even several will respond to your post to assist you. While there are other forums on the web that do this sort of thing, you've now found what I think is the best (and I've posted in and/or checked out quite a few) so don't lose this link - you never know when it might come in handy again.

We're a LOT cheaper than Microsoft Support or a computer repair shop (being totally free), we cover a wide range of topics and related issues - possibly more than those other places (though we can't remote into your PC (the required software for that is too expensive for a volunteer site and at least I can't afford the $60-70/month personally) and, of course, can't actually work on it ourselves as people come here from all over the world and actually finding someone close by would be extraordinarily lucky - and even then, we don't really do on-site visits) and we have a lot of people with a wide range of skills and specialties to assist with the really tough problems. Sometimes, as occurred here, the best solution is to find information or experts on the web who can better assist you because while we know a great deal about many things, some require access to proprietary information or specialized training that we may not have (as with a hardware problem on a new computer where normal troubleshooting isn't working and only information about the product or software itself will resolve the problem) - but we try out best to get you as close as possible to the resources that can help you and remain available to assist even then. So keep us in mind anytime you have any questions or problems or if you just want to browse and learn (the Tutorials Forum is Excellent and you can learn much by just reading those of interest to you) - and remember, no question or problem is too simple or stupid to ask. It's better to ask and get good advice than to guess on your own and perhaps make things worse.

Good luck and best wishes.
