How would I go about doing that?
Holy cow! I thought the experts in here would be all over this one.
Are you using a laptop? If so, you should be able to go to the vendors' support website and find the motherboard drivers. You would just run the .exe. If you have a problem, post the make and model number of your laptop.
If you have a PC, you probably got a disc with the motherboard drivers. You would just run the disc setup.exe.
I noticed that you said this problem happens randomly. When I'm listening to internet radio, I occasionally get a brief interruption. That's not a system problem.
Actually, I think that disabling the Intel Matrix Storage Manager fixed the problem. I have been testing the audio and I don't think I caught any stutters. If there were any, they were barely noticeable.
