Re: Realtek HD Audio Manager missing from Device Manager & Advanced Tab missing from

I have the same OS and use Realtek. The only Realtek shown in Device Manager, Sound.... is the Realtek High Definition Audio. Are you sure you installed the 64 bit driver? The driver I have is 6.0.1.6873.

In Control Panel, DVD/CD-Rom drives, is your drive shown? Are there any problems noted?

Hi Mr Wither,

Yes i have installed the 64 bit relatek driver.

But when i check in Device Manager\ Sounds there i am getting only Conexant Audio.

Realtek is missing from there. As i searched few other forums there they have given i need

If any other solution is avbl for fixing External mic i would love to love to go for that too.

Re: Realtek HD Audio Manager missing from Device Manager & Advanced Tab missing from

Let us know how it turns out.

I think SP2 will help.

Also note that HP has an automated software which will search your system to determine the latest drivers.

I bought my wife a HP which has Win 7. It has the HP Assistant which can also help with these kinds of problems.

Re: Realtek HD Audio Manager missing from Device Manager & Advanced Tab missing from

Did you ever get SP2 installed and did the conextant driver fix the original problem?
