| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: New Realtek HD Audio Driver Released Sorry Sean The manager is installed however since I am using SPDIF the options such as speaker choice are not available and only appear if a device is pluged in. I do have digital output and line in tabs though which are all I need. All I had to do was go into sound in control panel and set DTS and frequency options. |

| vista | Re: New Realtek HD Audio Driver Released Hi there Ive been reading for a while on different sound issues but still cant resolve mine. My problem is similar to the first guy in this thread. I have a "quadraphonic" speakers setup but can only hear the front left/right. I have the latest realtek drivers. I have a brand new vista ultimate installation. My rear speakers ARE plugged in the "Rear speaker out". Also, its set to quadraphonic configuration and speakers are checked. If i check Speaker Fill, I do hear sound from my rear speakers but its very very very poor with no bass. Btw, the sound and everythings fine if I do the auto surround sound test thing. It just wont work in windows media player, games, etc I dunno what to do anymore =/ Thanks |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: New Realtek HD Audio Driver Released Attached is a picture of the R1.85 driver installed. You should see this after the install on your Vista box. To see this: Go to Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Manage Audio Devices Click on Speakers (or whichever one appears enabled and in-use). This should take you to the speakers property screen. Hit Properties (button) and click on the Driver tab. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: New Realtek HD audio driver update Maccaro, That's the thing. You will need to install it twice. Once to remove the old audio driver, then twice to install the new one. You will need to restart the computer between each install. Check in Device Manager to make sure that you have the version 6.0.1.5548 listed under the Driver tab for the audio device. Shawn |
