Re: New Realtek HD audio driver update

Hi Sciz,

For Realtek HD Audio Manager in Control Panel :
1. Uninstall the audio driver from Programs and Features and then reinstall it to see if it will help.

For microphone volume:
1. Increase the "db" level to 20. It is next to the volume level in HD manager or labeled as Microphone Boost in Sound from Control Panel.

For multiple audio streams:
NOTE: Only works if you have a front input panel.
1. Open Realtek HD Audio Manager if you can.
2. Click Device advanced settings in upper right corner.
3. Dot Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously.
4. Click Ok.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: New Realtek HD audio driver update

Brink, it was my fault i forgot to mention that i have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. I got rid of everything I could to where it said no drivers are installed. Then i downloaded the latest driver and still the same issues. Btw, I do have a front panel input for the microphone on the case I have for reference the Antec 900. So it would be great if once I can get the sound manager to open that I can stream multiple audio. Any other suggestions would be awesome too. As I said, no matter what I do when I double click the file in the installshield folder, mind you the files that are .exe's in that folder are the following... ChCfg.exe, RAVCpl64.exe, RtlUpd64.exe, SkyTel.exe. The same outcome happens with all of those. i double click, see the busy icon for a second then nothing happens. I looked if it was running in the task manager under processes and got nothing. For now, thanks for trying at least . Also I forgot to mention that my Mic boost is at +30db and the level is at 100. When I open sound recorder or try it in vent I have to yell to get anything out of it.

Re: New Realtek HD audio driver update

Sciz,

One thing I'm not clear on is if you are trying to open the Realtek HD Audio Manager icon from the Control Panel (Classic View) or not. The .exe files in the Installshield folder will not open it when I tested it on my system.

In the Realtek HD Audio Manager, under the Microphone tab, there is a Noise Suppression and Acoustic Echo Cancellation option that may help with your microphone audio.

Re: New Realtek HD audio driver update

Ahh again, I am not clear enough and thats my bad. In the control panel or the icons in the lower right there is no Realtek sound manager icon at all. Hence why i was trying to open the .exe straight from the folder. I even used command prompt and tried opening them through that since I know how to navigate through windows. Just to be more clear, I am an IT major so I know about this stuff but I am brand new to Vista let alone x64. Funny thing is I got it for the 4gigs of ram but even after the KB929777 update I still can't get it work with 4gigs without the BSOD. Anyways, as I said in classic view all i got for audio is vistas sounds icon, there is no realtek HD manager icon anywhere to be found.

BTW if you have aim or some sort of messaging system that would be great, because maybe I have faulty drivers or maybe u can send me your Realtek folder, I dont know. For reference my aim is lilsciz04. I am on right now..

Sciz,

I sent you a private message. If you can give me a email address in a private message back to me, I'll send the Realtek Folder via a Zip to you.

Sciz,

I hope it helps to. I can not think of why you cannot get the driver to install correctly. Let me know if the folder helps.

Re: New Realtek HD audio driver update

Yea after a restart still nothing in the control panel and what not. Is it possible you can take a screenshot of your control panel with the sound manager highlighted? Just press Prt Scrn and it should save it to your clipboard so open a photo manager such as even paint and hit ctr+v to paste it into there and then save it.
