| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version I have always found it best that even if there is a newer version out, if the one you have works and you are happy with it then don't change it. Always read the data file that describes what has been updated so you can see if you want it or not. Please always do a restore before installing a new driver. It is a good practice and will be a headache saver for sure at some point. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 sp2, Solaris x64 | Re: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version Hi Everyone, I just wonder, is it possible to install Realtek goodies on my other machine the M6850FX? Looks like I have SigmaTel driver over there. There is lack of any audio manager. Or maybe, I'm missing something. Frankly, I can't understand why one machine has Realtek HD Audio Manager and the other hasn't. Could you explain this? Thank you so much in advance. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version Hello Martee, It depends on what brand audio chip your motherboard manufacturer decided to use on the motherboard. You can get the latest drivers for the computer in your specs below though. Gateway Support Drivers & Downloads |

| Vista Ultimate x64 sp2, Solaris x64 | Re: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version Hello Brink, Thank you Brink for fast replay to my question. I'm really glad. Looks like PM965 chipset from Intel, but I can't find any information about audio, so probably my only choice is the SigmaTel driver. I guess, that I have got the newest audio driver because it was updated via Windows update, but still there is no way to adjust audio, just Windows default settings, only. I will have to live with it. Thanks once more. Cheers... |

| Vista Ultimate x64 sp2, Solaris x64 | Re: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version Hello Brink, Thank you so much for the Conexant driver. It looks like the newest one from the current driver I have in lappy. I will try to install it little later. By the way, I want to thank you for the tutorial...how to make the Vista bootable flash drive. I just finished it and will try to check if it is working. Also I made the folder with drivers and applications. The stick is 8GB gib so there is plenty of space, there. Will let you know in a moment is it working or not. If not, that's my fault for sure. Once more thanks a lot. |

| Vista Home Basic 32bit | Re: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version Hi everyone, I just reinstalled my Realtek HD Driver (I mean, I just updated it) and for some reason the levels make no sense anymore (this actually happened the last time I updated, I'm not sure if it was the same version or not because I update from the Toshiba site). Anyway, my speakers are really loud despite being on a low level (16). Of course I can just lower the volume of the programs I use, but that's just a pain. I did actually fix it last time but I can't for the life of me figure out what it was that I did. Also the sound is distorting, despite being on a low level, if that makes sense. I have it right down so it's a "listenable" volume...but still it distorts as though it were very loud. The version I updated to (according to my device manager) is 6.0.1.5406 (geez was that from 2007??). Guess all I did was reinstall... Anyway, I'm on a Toshiba laptop satellite A200 with Vista Home Basic. Any help would be greatly appreciated! (I also apologise if this problem has been stated by someone else, I really did scour Google along with a good chunk of this thread). |
