Please help

Hi there

I am having a problem with deleting files and folder on vista basic, I use to run my desktop pc on XP but i blew the motherboard so i put that hard in an external casing so that i can use it with my laptop(vista) but is has some of my old system files left on it and they just wont delete. the 1 is the old windows folder it only has 1 file left in it flash6.ocx

And the other folder is named ''93b20bc192913a7f73f2104d'' it contains 112 files and none of them want to delete, i have tried setting permissions ect.
How can i delete them?

I am also admin on the laptop.

Ps. I am not a PC genius so please put any advice in plain language

BTW why when i dubble click on external hard drive it say application not found? i need to right click and explore?

Re: Please help

If you don't have another XP computer to attach the external drive, try booting the laptop with a BartPE cd and use the A43 File Management utility. This will give you a Windows Explorer interface with which you can look at the files on the external and hopefully you can delete the ones you want to delete.

Consult your Google Gods for how to make a BartPE cd.
