| User rights Hello, i need help regarding user rights, Im using a Vista Business edition, my problem is that the account that im using has only a user right privilege, i had tried to change the account user to administrative user but everytime i click it, it is asking for a password,even if i i right click the computer on the desktop and choose the manage it is asking for a password, i had already tried to change it in the registry disabling "enblelua" ang change the value to "0", but still it didnt work; same with consentpromptbehaviorAdmin value it by 0; and on dos prompt the net user still i get error; i cant display the administrator account, it wont come out.i had already made some patches on the registry but it wont allow me...any advice from the expert.......please kindly send also your replay on my email add.... apangsky@yahoo.com.....many thanksLast edited by xarc; 04-05-2008 at 09:27 AM. |

Location: Canada | Re: User rights Back to the matter in hand. You cannot change any user account to admin. WITHOUT entering the admin. password when prompted. Do you have the admin. password ? If you don't and assuming what you want to do is with full consent from the person who holds the admin.account, use the link below :Administrator Account |

Location: Fremantle, Western Australia | Re: User rights t-4-2 is correct, you will need to logon as the admin account before making the changes as anything you do in the registry or done on the filesystem is saved into your specific user-account not system-wide.... There are ways to reset the admin password quite easily if you have forgotten the pwd... dmex |
