Avast Help

After finding out BitDefender has serious issues (read their user forum) I began looking for sales on Nod 32, Kaspersky, or Avast. I found a site that sells OEM software real cheap. They have Avast Professional Version 4.6.652 for $14.95. Avast version 4.7.892 is the earliest version that can run on Vista 64. If I buy this software, will it update to a version that will work on Vista 64?

Also, if it turns out Avast won't work, is there any reason not to use Kaspersky? My biggest issues are 1. it works, and 2. it does not suck alot of power.

Thanks

This version of Avast at the link below is FREE to noncommercial users.
Though this is a free version you will still have to register with Avast.

avast! antivirus Home Edition, anti-spyware & anti-rootkit for Windows

Also you may want to look at this.
