Hi,

I just got a ThinkPad equipped with a fingerprint reader. I set it up and it works just fine. However, whenever the login screen is displayed, there is a button labeled "Other Crenditials". I have to click this button and then select the fingerprint reader, at which time I am prompted to swipe my finger. By the time I go through all this I could have logged in with my password. Does anyone know if I can make the "Other Crenditails" a defalult? IMHO, all the extra clicking defeates the purpose of have the fingerprint reader.

Thanks,

Tom

In the meantime, here is a link to the relevant Lenovo webpage which should be able to help you. You will need to provide the information that I asked for. Hi,

I don't know if this resolved my issue, but I downloaded some thinkpad updates. After I rebooted, "Othter Credentials" appears as a login option. I just swipe the FP reader and I am logged in. I know it is not a big deal to type in a password, but the FP reader is really cool.

Thanks for the quick reply,

Regards,

Tom
