Login Using Vista

Hi Folks:

I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit.
I cannot login to two of my accounts. I get to the web site but it will not let me login. One is Triple “A”. If I go to another computer no problem. I believe it is some type of security setting. Most of the cookies stuff I have already checked.

Thank you.

JAN

Re: Login Using Vista

First of all, you need to specify that these are not Vista accounts, that they are in fact online accounts. Second, what browser are you using? Third, what security software are you using?

Re: Login Using Vista

Hi Johngalt:

Thank you for trying to solve my problem. I hope I am posting in the proper area. I got hell because I had a line between each letter but I did not do it on purpose. Actually, I do not know why it happened.

To answer your questions: I do believe it is a security-setting problem. I have tried several solutions but to no avail. My Browser is Internet Explorer. My security is McAfee and Windows Firewall. I have tried to change some settings but it did not work. Again, my problem is I cannot login to my account on two sites. I can get into the site but cannot login. The window starts to come in but than goes back to the site home page. I could previously but for some reason cannot at this time.
Thank you.
WENZO

Re: Login Using Vista

Have you tried disabling McAfee and seeing if that works?

And please stop pasting posts with a font size of 6 and the color red. I can read it just fine as it is above.

Re: Login Using Vista

Dear Johngalt:

I disabled McAfee and I tried to login to both accounts to no avail. In both accounts the login page starts to come up but then something blocks it.

Sorry for the color red and large letters. I sure am getting reprimanded on this site but I do appreciate your effort to solve my problem.

Thank you.

Re: Login Using Vista

The red was not bad, but combined with the size it was horrific.

As for McAfee, you might next try *uninstalling* it as it can still block things when disabled. It could also be something like a HOSTS file, a security setting from another security program, or any of another number of things.

have you tried running your browser in safe mode?

Re: Login Using Vista

Hi:

Bill Gates I am not. Could you explain how to run my browsers in the "safe mode"? I will see if I have disk to reinstall McAfee if I uninstall it. Please explain the "Host file"

Thank you.

Re: Login Using Vista

If you have the McAfee Security Center Disc so that you can reinstall, uninstall McAfee and see if that makes a difference.
