Is Kasparskey enough?

Hi.

I had been using AVG for sometime and do have AVG on my other computer and laptop, but switched my vista ultimate 64 computer to Kasparskey a few weeks ago with the trial version. So far it is really good and I think I like it way better than AVG. It does a great job. So I am 2 weeks away from buying the boxed product and want to know if you guys think Kasparskey is enough for security. Some advise several programs and some advise only one if it is as powerful as Kasparskey.
I also use Comodo firewall pro and thats also a great product.

So is the Kasparskey enough?.

Thanks

With the exception of Symantec or McAffee products, my experience is that it all comes down to personal preference.

Some AV products may be slightly faster, or detect one type of virus slightly better... but in the end, all the biggies are about equal (exception noted above).
The freebie AV products are consistently rated lower than the paid products in reviews - though you have to wonder how much of that is truth, and how much is pressure from marketing departments that pay for ad-space.

In the end, nothing is bullet-proof. Go with what you like, and follow safe surfing/email practices at all times.

As to Comodo...
Personally, I see no reason for a software firewall unless you're running directly exposed to the 'net, or if you have a tendancy to download and run suspicious files. Otherwise, a good router will keep unwanted intruders out every bit as good as a software firewall. At that point, it's like wearing two condoms at once; kind of unnecessary unless you're in a high-risk environment!

For the record, my distaste for Symantec and McAffee is thus:

They are slow.
They are bloated.
They are far more intrusive and annoying that most competitors.
They seem to catch fewer viruses than their competitors.

I remember a year ago, when it came time for us to renew our AV system. I called around to the sales reps at various vendors, inquiring about their products. Having used Symantec Corporate in the enterprise in the past, I decided to avoid that. But I'd never used or seen McAffee's corporate product... so I called them up. The sales rep was incredibly harsh about their consumer edition. I cannot repeat everything he said... but suffice to say, even McAffee thinks that their consumer edition sucks. How's that for a recommendation on that product?! Hah!

Yeah. We ended up going with Trend Micro SMB.... which has proven to be a light-weight and affordable solution, as well as seeming to keep the viruses out.
