This virus sounds like it screwed you machiene up a little. No worrys, hopefully i can help.
First run antivirus scan, anti malware, and anti spyware programs (avast, spybot) are good ones.
Then when you are all set, let me know and i will give you the next few steps.

Re: Antiviruspro 2009

Is the malware gone, as far as you can tell?

If it is, try running an sfc /scannow. This scans system files, libraries, critical folders, and essential registry keys, and it replaces those that are corrupted with intact ones. Generally this will solve the issue, if not, try getting a screenshot or just copy the exact error message and post it. Hopefully there's a solution other than doing an in-place upgrade.

To run sfc /scannow:
Type "cmd" into the Search box on the Start menu, when cmd comes up at the top, right click it and click "run as Administrator." When the command prompt comes up, type "sfc /scannow" (sans quotes) and let it run.

If it's not gone, you'll need to fully remove it, then we can see about the control panel...
