Re: Infection Resolving Team

Did you try scanning your system from NOD32 antivirus?

Re: Infection Resolving Team

Kavita,
The advice you gave Jose isnt bad advice, its just confusing. If he is involved with some sort or "Fake AV Trial" and he installs any other type of REAL AV, it will conflict with eachother and he will not be able to tell the real from the virus.

Jose,
If you want to visit the website i made, it has a ton of information and a link to an extremely helpful page that will help you get rid of your problem with ease.
The link is Mid-Term Exam Index
From here, you can click on exam1 and that is all about AV 2009, which is what you have i think.

Let me know if im wrong or how it goes,
Ben

P.S. Let me know what yout think about this web page... It was my 5th webpage i made!!!

Do you think a real anti-virus like Nod32 will conflict with a fake one?

Re: Infection Resolving Team

You clearly misunderstood me. What i am saying is that since Nod will be a free trial, it will confuse jose with the fake trial. Its not that they will conflict, or make the computer act different because they are both installed. All i am saying is that Jose will get confused and that he might click the wrong thing. I am jsut throwing that in there.

wow thank for your help, but i spoke with my sister and she had a similar problem with different virus, she advised me to go windows defender and scann it i did it and it found the virus called trojan then it sent me a warning for a high potential virus and asking me to ignore, remove or something else that i don't remember so i gave the permition to remove it. it took like 3 minutes then i had to clear the history on internet including password, provisional files, and cookies etc, so hopefully my pc is running normal i believe the virus was hided in a web site that i just to go every day..... so any way thank guys for you support and i let you know in the next couple days how is running my pc, but to tell you the true....now i feel scared to navigate on internet after i went thru....

Ben
Ok guys ive been working on this problem for quite some time now and after all of this time im 95% certain ive discovered the source of my problems.
To locate the issue i have reinstalled windows about 5 times each time replacing the same programs i had on my computer until i could duplicate the problem.
Well after all of that i narrowed the problem down to a game that i play.
Warcraft III... there has been a recent exploit in the custom map games that allows malicous code to be transfered to your computer. As far as i know there isnt a fix for this problem. I saw a post on a website that said Comodo can actually block it but i have no personal experience with it. The recent exploit in the came came as a huge surprise I never would have thought it could have been the problem. I appreciate everyone's help and apologize for getting to frustrated and offending anyone.... even if i did sensor myself. I sent an email to Blizzard asking them for input on the situation. So for future refrence if anyone else and i suspect there will be some more just like i was.. come asking for help about the windows mail box popping up. Ask them if they have Warcraft III or any other Blizzard game that uses custom maps (user created games).
Thanks again...
