| VISTA HOME PREMIUM X64/ 7 x64 / 7x86 | Re: cannot delete Hi, I assume you didn't install the program you don't want. If you did , uninstall it. Just d/l Take Ownership .reg file and double click on the .reg file - allow it to merge. http://www.vistax64.com/attachments/...ship.reg?ltr=C Your right click menu will then look like this : ![]() Then right click on the unmovable file, select Take Ownership - cmd window will flash past. Then right click unwanted app. and select delete SIW2 |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: cannot delete Yes thank you. I actually found the download for the add "take ownership" to the context menu not long after you initially pointed me in that direction. I downloaded the file onto my desktop, merge, run as administrator, continue.....and then it was just hanging on my destop. My mouse arrow had the little spining wheel (processing, processing, processing....) next to it and I let it run for a couple of hours while I did other things and it wouldn't proceed any further. Opened task manager to end the task and it wasn't on there. I had to restart my computer to get it to stop. Should I just try again tonight? Id love to have that as an option in the menu. thanks for your help. |
