Vista - Security Problem

Hello everyone

i'm use vista home basic. After i install SP1, many problem occur. I cannot copy file, cannot paste, cannot save file, cannot browse files. So, i restore my system. i think everything fine, but my system security does not working. I cannot Turn On the windows security, cannot use windows defender and cannot use windows update.

When i try to open windows defender, this message out ;
“ Application failed to initialize: 0x80070006. The handle is invalid.”

when i try turn on windows security;
“ The Security Center service can’t be started ”

when i click check for update, this message out ;
“ Error(s) found:
Code 80070424 Windows Update encauntered an unknown error. “

Can someone help me to resolve this problem?

Sounds like you might have corruption (either user caused or malware caused). Try a restore to before the errors occured-if you have insufficient restore points you may to reinstall Vista, and if you are using a registry cleaner stop. They are nortotious for deleting critcal Windows components as they cannot discriminate between legitimate and unwanted items and this results in Windows/program file corruption.
