Re: Ultimate Malware Removal Guide

Brink this is a really good read, and i know that reading through this, in the thread you have some people saying that they disagree, but if its followed to the book i:e how you have stated it, it is completely right no matter what the doubters say, i have always used this tech and it works every time. Its also good to see that out of all the forums i mix in this is the only one where i think a layman could understand it !

Scanning Systems for Spyware and Malware etc...What happens??

Righto!! He're a handful of questions to ponder......

Are search and destroy programs such as SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes, able to be run through a system that already has other anti-virus and anti-malware programs like avast!, Avira AntiVir, SpywareBlaster, Ad-Adware 2008, and SpyBot etc. etc., running in full and active mode?

Is there a need to disable the active anti-virus/anti-malware, before running any scans by those programs highlighted above?

Should the scans be done with the PC/Laptop disconnected from the Internet?

Does the free version of Malwarebytes just search for infected Files, or does it complete a full search and destroy scan?

Finally, what exactly is meant by "running the scan in Safe Mode"? Does that mean the Browser Safe Mode?

Yes. [I use the paid version of Superantispyware.]

No.

Yes. [I always disconnect my laptop.]
Hope that helps.
