Vista - admin account problems

i was struggling to get a program to load and run so i followed these instructions to get the admin account up

How to activate the Hidden Vista Administrator. /Active:Yes_

now i have my acccount and the admin account and it will not let me change my account to the admin account

is there any way i can get rid of the new administrator acccount and give my exsisting account the same access

Short answer - no.

You cant remove the built in account. However you can rename it to what you want. If you have an advanced version of vista you can also change the local security policy to elevate without prompting on all admins which will make every admin the same as the built in account.

You can hide, rename and change the password and the picture to the account but remove it...no. Sorry

so s there any way i can turn my admin acccount into my main acccount with everything loaded in there that in my main account at the mo then delete the main account

You cannot in any way delete the built in administrator account without having to do some serious hacking.

You can disable and hide it to give the illusion its gone but its not.

You can use the secpol to make elevation without prompting for all admins which will make it the same as the built in account or just disable UAC.
