Registry repair?

I can't view anything on YouTube or greeting cards on 123 Greetings. When I try to view on YouTube I get a message that Java is turned off or I don't have the latest version of Adobe Flash (I do!) I checked my Java and it is running perfectly.
I went to Adobe site and the FAQ say that it must then be something wrong with my registry. OK... so how do I fix that?

I just downloaded a registry cleaner called Advanced System Care which claimed to repair my registry. I still get this message when trying to view YouTube files:

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

I have no clue. It says Version 7.0 6001.18000 Cipher Strength 256 bit

I could always view YouTube before... this is very recent that I can't.

You can only do it with the 32-bit browser.
This is the default brower in Vista.
start> IE at top

32-bit Vista does not have a x64 IE7 browser.

You probably have a corrupted Version of Windows (due to reg cleaners/malware)

self diagnostic

Is this easy to use? I'm not a pro (can you tell?) If it just brings up stuff for me to sort through... I would not know good from bad.

try a system restore first (to a point before issue occured)
Start>in search bar type, restore>click program

Itll give you a system self diagnostic (i.e., "fine" in green), If red, then that needs further investigation. Simpy attach to post.

or download and scan with full program:http://www.eset.com/download/free_trial_download_eav.php

ps-click image to enlarge it.

Because restore only uses 15% of the drive for shadow copy- when it fills up that 15%, it deletes the older restore points as it adds a new one.

OK but if I use April 9th--- I was unable to play Youtube on that day.

then you cant fix it with system restore. if it is corruption you may have to re-install Windows.
Do you have a dvd or recovery partition?

try this System Files - SFC Command

OK but I can't figure out why April 9th is the farthest I can go back.

Ps- in restore did you click the box for restore points older than 5 days?

OK... yes, I can pick a later date by clicking later than 5 days. Missed that. I'll do it tomorrow when I have time to update Windows after, because I have made quite a few updates in the past few days. I'll let you know what happens.

Thank ;you for sticking with me on this.

EDIT: Hey! Wait a minute! THAT'S when the problem started, after I did a bunch of Windows updates!!! I will check the dates I did them and start before that date.
Wonder why the updates would stop me from seeing YouTube.
